Great thought-provoking article. It is impressive the amount of content posted every day. I think behaviours change as per age range, I feel LinkedIn is working well, it is mostly trustworthy, and they are trying to control the reach and quality of the feed.
But considering there is an exponential growth in this creator universe, naturally people can flow to networks like Substack, to find micro-spaces and communities.
I did not know about BlueSky. Let's see how it goes.
Happy you found the post valuable, Ramon. Yes, there are so many platforms to choose from and each one has a different type of audience. Best thing to do is to go where your target audience already hangs out.
Thanks for the breakdown and reminding everyone to build their list. My goal for 2025 is double down on my writing but use it to repurpose for YouTube since I like long form for more thoughts.
Thank you for sharing! What are your thoughts on focusing on one platform only vs. cross-posting to different platforms? I'm new to writing and creating content online and have only joined Substack recently. I'm not quite sure if it would be better to focus first on Substack at least for the first few months or to start posting on other platforms as early as now 🤔
Hi Alea, if you're starting out, it's best to focus on one platform. It can get overwhelming trying to be everywhere at the same time.
I started writing on Substack, Medium, and X at the same time. But I noticed I got more engagement on Substack and Medium, so I cut out X altogether and focused only on the other two.
You can write on one platform and then cross-post your content if you like. That's what I do with Substack and Medium.

I'm glad you found value in the post. YouTube is a massive platform for creators. I also plan on starting my channel in 2025. I wish you all the best.
